If you think anything should be on the roadmap, please get in touch and discuss with us how it relates to the strategy outlined, and how and by when we should be trying to deliver it.

New British Rowing CEO process commenced
Launch of our GROW programme which recruits coaches to work within identified host clubs, to deliver rowing and develop strong partnerships with schools and community groups to engage with the sport. The programme will be underpinned by a comprehensive M&E project, demonstrating the impact of widening access of rowing to participants, schools and community groups, host clubs, and in growing a more diverse coaching workforce.

Plans in place and commenced to promote and maximise the opportunity of the 2022 World Rowing Coastal championships to build the coastal rowing community
Recreational Rowing survey findings complete and analysed for key themes
Scope the brief and prepare to apply for the UK Sport National Events Grant in March for support for Senior Championships feasibility study.
Decision on bidding for future major events in the UK to be made
Creation of consultation about a dynamic and forward thinking series of BR Championship events that embraces innovation and up to date technology and looks outwards as well as in. (ie. focuses on the spectator as well as the athlete and athlete development aspect of events)
New digital rower development portal to be launched to help coaches and athletes develop at every age and stage

World Rowing Coastal Championships and Beach Sprint Finals. Our aim is to produce a World Class event and disseminate learnings from it to build on BR's international reputation.
