What? Partner with corporates who share our vision

Every rower knows someone whose life changed for the better when they found rowing, so it figures that a bigger, wider membership means more than just more people doing it: it means a happier, healthier country. Rowing brings exceptional solutions to problems in mental health, self-discipline, and obesity, and we aim to find partners whose help in funding the development of the sport would give them an enormous stake in positive societal change.


How? By showing them that rowing can be transformative for people and places, and how their backing can lead that transformation

Money from commercial activity isn't allocated to running the sport: it's allocated to developing it. Our commercial activity looks to maximise any support and promotion that is relevant and adds value to our members' experience,  whether through exclusive access to major events or sales of merchandise, licensed products, and club teamwear - online and around the world.  

From clubs to internal teams, every programme we run successfully adds to our opportunities to invest and take the sport further, and partnership backing for any of them is money for development.

For example small adaptations to the set up and format of our on-water and indoor competitions and leagues can help us to sell out available tickets and event entries, allowing both supporters and competitors to get the experience.   More fun means more advocates who will tell their friends: the virtuous circle keeps turning.

We will look at all of the opportunities we have available across the sport, understand what we need and what will add the most value and seek our partners who share our vision and will support us get there quicker.

People understand why rowing is the ultimate team sport: it's why rowing imagery is so often used by big firms wanting to convey that the sum of their teams add up to more than the individual parts. Commercial backers who share our vision can invest further in the sport and make it available to every community in the country - arguably the biggest opportunity we have for growing the sport.
