Pathways

The detail on each part of this strategy is work in progress, presented to indicate our direction of travel and not as a finished product.

We want your input and feedback to help improve it, both for the next iteration as detailed on our roadmap, and on-going. It will change, and we will listen to the membership and what they want and need.

Send us your feedback, and be part of this step change in British Rowing.

Tell us what you think

What? We want to create a pathway that is open, accessible and clear, so that any rower or coach who is capable of rowing and coaching for Great Britain can achieve their ambitions.

How? By clearly signposting the road to Caversham, and supporting rowers and their coaches through development programmes

We run a number of programmes to develop athletes and coaches, many of which talented people with potential may not be aware of. The GB Rowing Team is accessible to anyone with the necessary talent, whether you are an athlete or a coach. Our programmes are listed below, but if you are delivering performances that make you someone we should know about and your club is not sure how to help you progress, get in touch and let us know.

Why? Because our people get in if they’re good enough, not because they know someone

To keep our team at the top we need to support the next generation to be able to progress on our pathway. We can do that through a variety of programmes giving a diverse range of athletes and coaches the support and development opportunities they need to be the best they can be.
